AGC Chemicals Americas offers the broadest range of high-performance fluoropolymers in the world including fluoroelastomers, PTFE, PFA and ETFE resins, fluoropolymer compounds, and chemical membranes. We also produce specialty performance materials that address the unique requirements of specific applications such as paint, textiles, facades and cosmetics. These include greenhouse films, ETFE films, FEVE resins, fluorinated solvents and foam blowing agents, anti-smudge coatings, silica gels, amorphous fluoropolymers, polyols and intermediates. Fluon® PFA Resins are copolymers of tetrafluoroethylene and a perfluorinated vinyl e ther. They can be used over a wide range of temperatures from extremely low to high (-200 °C to 260 °C) without losing excellent chemical, electrical, mechanical and surface properties.

PFA resins retain many inherent characteristics and similar properties of PTFE. However, PFA resins can be processed using conventional thermoplastic techniques including:
* Extrusion molding
* Injection molding
* Blow molding
* Electrostatic powder coating

With an oxygen index of 95% or better, these noncombustible resins can be used in various fields. They offer outstanding weatherability (no reduction or deterioration by direct sunlight, wind, rain and exhaust gas). In addition, their characteristics do not change when exposed to the outdoors for a long period of time. Fluon® PFA resin compounds are also available.

PFA P-63PT is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (C2F4) and perfluoroalkoxyethylene, which has excellent chemical, electrical, mechanical and surface properties. PFA retains many inherent characteristics and similar properties to PTFE but can be processed using conventional thermoplastic techniques, such as extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding, or electrostatic powder coating. Fluon® PFA can be used within a wide temperature range from extremely low temperatures to 260°C maximum without losing its properties.

PFA P-63PT is the most suitable material for semiconductor equipment parts, which are in constant contact with strong chemicals.
